Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Film Wizard handles information when you use filmwizard.ai and the Film Wizard application. Film Wizard provides AI-assisted film research, writing, image and video generation, storyboarding, editing, transcription, asset management, publishing tools, training, and community features.

This is a practical initial policy based on the service as currently implemented. It is not a certification of compliance with any particular privacy framework.

Account and profile information includes your email address, display name, profile image, role, account settings, token balance, signup-risk signals, and any public creator profile information you choose to provide.

If you choose Google sign-in, the configured scopes are openid and userinfo.email. This lets the sign-in service authenticate you and receive your Google account email and an identity identifier. Google sign-in does not grant Film Wizard access to Google Drive, Gmail, YouTube publishing, calendars, contacts, or other Google content.

Content information includes prompts, scripts, research, instructions, uploaded or imported images, video and audio, reference files, transcripts, project settings, timelines, edits, generated assets, and related metadata. Community posts, comments, likes, votes, public profiles, and content you deliberately publish or share are also handled.

Payment and usage information includes purchased plans or credits, transaction identifiers, subscription status, balances, and usage history. Stripe processes card checkout and subscriptions; PayPal may process PayPal purchases. Film Wizard does not store full payment-card numbers in its application database.

When you complete a card purchase, Stripe stores the payment method on your Stripe customer record by default so you can make later credit-pack purchases or plan upgrades without entering the card again. Film Wizard stores Stripe customer and transaction identifiers, while Stripe retains the payment credentials. A saved card is charged only after you request and confirm a purchase or as required for an active recurring subscription; Stripe may require additional authentication. You can manage payment methods through the Stripe-hosted billing portal.

Technical information includes access/session tokens, browser storage used for session continuity and abuse prevention, route-level performance measurements, request timing, media-load timing, interface freeze measurements, device interaction signals used during signup, and ordinary service logs such as timestamps, errors, and network information available to hosting infrastructure.

• Store projects and settings; process prompts and media; generate, transcribe, import, edit, organize, and deliver requested results.
• Operate collaboration, public profiles, community discussions, public links, and publishing choices you direct.
• Process purchases, maintain balances and subscriptions, prevent duplicate credits, and keep transaction records.
• Detect abuse, enforce service rules, troubleshoot failures, monitor performance, and improve reliability.
• Comply with legal obligations and protect users, the service, and others.

Film Wizard uses Base44 for application hosting, authentication, database functions, and file storage. Depending on the feature, model, and provider you choose, prompts and relevant input files may be sent to AI or media-processing services actually connected to the app, including fal.ai, Deepgram, Higgsfield, Kie.ai, Kinovi, Kling AI, BytePlus or Volcano Ark, Atlas Cloud, Enhancor, UseAPI, and AI services available through Base44. Outputs and job metadata may be returned from and temporarily hosted by those services.

Other current service paths include Cloudflare storage services; Apify for imports from supported social links; Buffer for optional social publishing; Stripe and PayPal for payments; and stock, media, and search services such as Pexels, Pixabay, Coverr, Freesound, and Typesense. A feature may identify another provider before you submit a job as integrations evolve.

These providers process information to perform the requested service and operate under their own terms and privacy practices. Film Wizard does not make a blanket promise about whether every external AI provider may use submitted material for model improvement; review the provider information shown for a selected tool and the provider’s current terms when this matters to you.

Google sign-in is used only for identity and email-based authentication under the scopes listed above. You can revoke that connection in your Google Account’s third-party connections settings, although revocation does not by itself delete your Film Wizard account or previously stored projects.

Publishing integrations are separate. Film Wizard currently lets a signed-in user optionally provide a Buffer API key. When connected, Film Wizard can read the Buffer organizations and channels available to that key and can send the captions, video URLs, scheduling choices, titles, thumbnail timing, and AI-generated labels that you direct to selected channels. Those permissions come from your Buffer account and its connected social networks, not from Google sign-in. You can replace or revoke the Buffer key and manage connected channels through Buffer.

Account records, projects, generated-asset records, settings, and uploaded files are stored through the application’s hosting and storage services. Information is disclosed to service providers when needed to run the feature you request, process payment, secure or maintain the service, or comply with law. It may also be disclosed in a business transaction or to protect rights and safety where permitted by law.

Projects and assets are private or access-controlled unless you share them with a collaborator or deliberately make them public. Public profiles, community posts and comments, public project pages, and assets you mark public can be seen by other users or anyone with the public link, depending on the feature. Public content may be copied or redistributed by others. Turning off sharing limits future access through Film Wizard but cannot recall copies already made elsewhere.

Film Wizard uses session tokens and browser storage needed to keep you signed in, preserve application state, remember limited interface preferences, reduce abusive signup attempts, and assign an anonymous performance session identifier. Similar essential technologies may be used by Base44 and payment or authentication providers. Blocking them may prevent sign-in or other core features from working.

Information is kept for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain account and project history, complete transactions, meet legal or accounting obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, maintain security, and support backups and operational continuity. Different records and provider-held copies may be retained for different periods; Film Wizard does not promise a single fixed retention period.

You can update available profile and project settings, change sharing choices, disconnect optional publishing access, and use the in-app account deletion control for the core account and project data it covers. To request access, correction, or deletion, or to ask what remains after an account deletion, email lendon@visionaryfire.com. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information when required or permitted for legal, payment, fraud-prevention, security, backup, or dispute-resolution needs.

Film Wizard uses reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information, including authenticated access and server-side checks for sensitive operations. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, and security cannot be guaranteed.

This policy may change as features and providers change. The effective date will be updated when the policy is revised. Material changes will be presented through an appropriate service notice when required.
